About Keren Lerner
Keren Lerner founded and runs UK based Top Left Design, a five person website design agency which creates top quality, easy to use, eye-catching websites, email newsletters and blogs – all with the intended objectives of the business or organization in mind.
It was whilst at university, studying graphic design and visual communication, in 1996, when the internet was in its infancy that Keren decided to get into the web design industry.
The path to the road was that Lerner had entered the Royal Society of Art Student Design Competition, a UK nationwide contest, with an animation/”virtual world” project, and her submission won first prize.
The reward was work experience with Pearson Entertainment Group, and over a three-month period Lerner worked at The Financial Times, Penguin Books, and Future Publishing. It was at Penguin Books that she learned to design and build sites and learned HTML by making a microsite for each book. As soon as Lerner graduated from university, she applied for a job at a company to be a website designer, was interviewed and started work, her first foray into the business of web design.
She went on to work as a designer and project manager at internet solutions company RTSe for 3 years. She also worked as a freelance designer, which included two seasons working on creating the design and layout for an independent daily film magazine during the Cannes International Film Festival.
In 2002 Keren Lerner established Top Left Design and continues to hone her skills and knowledge. She loves to share what she knows and regularly runs training sessions in social media, website design, blogging and generally “improving a company’s presence online”.
She regularly trains fellow business people and entrepreneurs in social media, blogging, the principles of good website design, creating effective email newsletters, and improving their online reputation. Her mission is to “clean up the internet” and empower clients to represent and promote themselves in a way they can be proud.
Keren is an active networker and is very well connected to a range of business owners and suppliers. She is a member of several networking organizations including Business Networking International (BNI), Network Referral Group (NRG) and Athena, and is very active with online networking on Twitter and Linkedin.

In the 1920’s silent screen star Clara Bow was known as the “IT!” girl. Her vitality defined the liberated woman of the 1920s, and "IT" symbolized the tremendous progress women were making in society.
Fast forward 100 years and IT also means internet technology. This business niche where the worldwide media interconnects has its bright stars as well. TheWIFTS Foundation International Visionary Awards is honored to name Keren Lerner CEO of UK based Top Left Design the recipient of TheWIFTS Foundation “IT!” Award 2010 for her accomplishments in art of Social Networking.
